Like the rest of the graduating Class of 2020, my niece is facing this major milestone in life while navigating a (hopefully temporary) new normal. Generally this time is littered with commencement celebrations, college preparations, graduation parties, and self discovery; but in this new world there is little to no fanfare for these young adults as they enter their next phase of life. It is an unfair and abrupt lesson in adaptation. A lesson that my niece, Kayla, has approached with grace and humor.

So congratulations Kayla! I can’t wait to see what the world has in store for you. You are destined for amazing things and I’m proud to be your Aunt!
